Going thin is in these days. All most all devices are going thing, which is a really good thing. Seagate has also started going thin with the launch of GoFlex Slim portable hard drive. At 9mm, it is the world's slimmest portable hard drive.
At an ultra-sleek 9mm—38 percent leaner than the current GoFlex ultra-portable drives—the new GoFlex Slim drive is roughly the width of a pencil.
What is interesting about this drive is that it offers decent 320GB storage capacity, yet remains slim enough to slide effortlessly into a pocket, purse or messenger bag.
The GoFlex Slim is equipped with a 7200RPM drive and sports USB3.0 interface. It is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems.
The 320GB model is priced at $99.99.
Seagate will also introduce another model of GoFlex Slim specifically designed for Mac OS X. The GoFlex Slim for Mac portable drive will be HFS+ formatted out-of-the-box. It'll come in May for $99.
