yes the problem i am fast aproaching what i see is the limit of the drive size i can fit in to my imac the backups are not the problem they are a pain but....basically way i was trying to say is that once i get to the 3TB of files i dont know what to do or where to store them are there 3TB+ drives in our future or a way to trick the imac to think another drive is internal so i can continue to use time machine as my primary backup..
This is why i hope apple will provide more than just gigs of storage i need TB's of space. and the max file size thing is also a pain i have movies that go from 700MB to 8TB if i were to use is for a BU solution i dont want to have to pick an choose what i can and can not backup..... No and they are not pirated movies either!

The logic remains problematic. It's like arguing that someone who was just in a car accident increased their chance of getting hurt by driving on the road in the first place. You are indeed blaming the victim.

The Burqua is worn to protect a woman's modesty and so they don't dress provocatively according to the standards of the country where the Burqua is worn.
Your views of what constitutes provocative dress is clearly less extreme than that but your opinion appears to be remarkably similar: "Women shouldn't dress provocatively."
It is wrong to make judgement of anyone based on how they are dressed: A woman (or man) may dress provocatively for a night out because they want to find a partner for the night or into the future. That doesn't mean they are an open door to any scumbag who thinks that they can violate them

Here. I always like the home cloud concept, where you get your own personal server and can transfer data/sync through the cloud. So you own your data instead of trusting it to someone else.
I'm moving in the opposite direction. I ran my own server for years. Now my web site resides on App Engine and my data will be backed up off site. Much less hastle than before.

Does anyone know if Apple will be offering this card separately? I picked up a Quad with the stock 6600 and need to add another card (to run two 30" displays).
Anyone know if the Quad specs allow for two 7800's in a Quad, or only one 7800 and one 6600 or 6800?

Here are some pics of the release in Tokyo Japan 5 hours ago. What a blast....I was number 51...2 hour before release. The line ended up taking 2 blocks. I would say up around 700 people in the line. They served us hot starbucks coffee as we waited in the rain

Win 7 x86 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.12Ghz running the SMO Client
GPU 2 client for a Radeon 2600 XT
also currently building a 3.06ghz Pentium D machine with 64bit Ubuntu 10.10
I have applied for and recived my passkey and I am using the macrumours team code the name i am using for folding is fiddlesticks_13

P.S if anyone more technical minded than my self wnats to review any of the config files they are welcome and also is there a GPU version for Mac or CUDA Mac version I would like help with setting it up

Oh my god, if an iChat Mobile phone happens, and my boyfriend gets a hold of one, I'm doomed. I can't get him away from the computer now as it is, but if he has a way to IM his friends while we're on the street.... ack!!! This could be seriously dangerous to chat junkies.
As for design, I'm REALLY hoping for a flip phone -- but something tells me Apple is going to go with a candy bar design. The only reason I hate those is because no matter HOW complicated it is to lock/unlock the keys, it manages to ALWAYS happen in my pocket. And then I unknowingly place calls to people without realizing it, which is my worst nightmare.
By the way, I think "iChat Mobile" sounds a bit silly for some reason. It almost sounds like it's not a real phone, but a "play" one. Does anyone else get that impression?

Something that has occoured to me, is there is a missing feature on this forum. It's a feature that I have only ever seen on GameFAQs, but have never seen anywhere else.
The marking system. Basically, each post has a button on it, that when you click it, you go to a page where you can "mark" a message, You can mark it for spamming, flaming, etc... There is a variety of options. Anyway, once you have marked it, it goes into a todo list for the mods. They can then review this message, and remove it or change it.
Basically, it allows people to easily inform the mods if there is a bad post. Currently, you have to PM the mods. This makes it easier. Oh, and if you abuse the system, you get punished.
Anouther feature from GameFAQs, is the Karma system, which ties in with the mod system. Basically, when you get moderated, you loose Karma. And you gain one Karma per day, as long as you have at least one active post.
I suppose I've only seen these features at GameFAQs, because it is the scurge of all earth. And I love it.
MacRumors in the most friendly fourm on the internet, but GameFAQs has a wide variety of topics. It's the birthplace of many interesting things. Like the unholy trinity... Don't ask.

I recall many on this forum criticizing these techniques claiming they never provided useful information.

Cool! Just a pity that bigadv has gone on hold under OSX until the a5 core gets ported over.
You should still get some serious points on the normal smp units though.
