Whenever we call them they have a standard answer 30 days,then 60 days.
Latest 30 days.

They are least bothered.CHC must have been everything.Is every immigrant genious,scientists,doctors,engineers like they have argued.They cannot build wall with only so called expected genious.

I tried to recruit 3 guys with 7-8 yrs of experience. We already have a 12 member offshore team...the average asking rate (H1s and citizens) is 90K ..H1B quota restriction is working in our favor very much. Market rate for IT professionals has increased quite handsomely..put ur resume out to dice or monster and see for urselves.

My retired parents are visiting me and will be here for atleast six months. Mom is fine but Dad is extremely bored in just two days. Can you guys suggest how do I keep him busy while having him help us with IV activities? He has excellent communication skills. One thing I think of is having him surf the net and research immigration related media contacts all across the nation. Please comment with your suggestions.

Think of it this way, there are already 280M US citizens who didn't take your H1B job for one reason or another, but most likely due to insufficient education or experience in your field.
The additional 500k potential EADs, of course, are a bit different in that their I-140s are approved (this is the scenario we expect to play out on Tuesday afternoon). What this means is that they are also in the pool of people whose job position could not be filled by a US citizen. If they are in your field, they may potentially be competing for your job, and it will indeed be easier for your employer to hire one of them because there is no H1B petition cost or hassle for the employer to go through.
Hiring an H1B is a barrier for your employer. It is there, but it is not particularly high, especially if you are not a new H1B but a renewal. You can just hope that your qualifications bring something on board with the company that is enough to overcome that barrier.

State chapters are a great mechanism to communicate with other members in your state and district. Please use that if it works for you.
However, if you cannot find someone to go with you, then go alone. Many of the meetings we do in Washington, sometimes we get appointments from 2 or 3 offices at the same time. In that case we split up and only one person goes to meet the lawmakers or staffers. But we cannot lose opportunities or miss opportunities.
So go alone if there is no one else in your district to go with you.

I140 should be approved or approvable at the time of filing. Yates memo is very clear on that- I-140 approval is not required in concurrent filing. Also there is no salary requirements on invoking AC 21. Again, please read Yates Memo.

The lawyer's office are overwhelmed with applications that they need to address. People are worried whether their respective attorney's will file the papers in time. Keeping that situation is perspective, I dont think this initiative is feasible at all, even if it makes sense to a few...

Tired of waiting ( PD: August 2001) I finally wrote to both my local congressman and Senator today. My senator is on senate Immigration commitee so lets see what happens. Hopefully something will move.
If this doesnt help I will try Ombudsman next after couple of months. The Ombudsman form has a question of if you have tried through Congressman etc first so we can try and see that.
Guys its so funny when you see ppl with PD of 2003 and 2005 complaining and bitching. Here we have waited 7 + yrs our PD's are current and we are doing OK. Wait sure brings maturity :)

Please remember that even if BEC clears the application with 2001 priority dates. These people still need to:
1) Apply for I140
2) Have I-140 Approved
3) Apply for I-485 only if their priority date is current
4) Complete various I-485 tasks like fingerprinting, BACKGROUND CHECKS (this is a huge one and unless you are lucky you can get stranded for anywhere between 6 months to 3 years)
5) Now after completing 1 - 4 above you can expect that they will apply a visa number to the application
