As per the data, so far people with notice date (on 485, from NSC) before sept 1st have got their FP notices (except few people). So, I presume if someone's case transfered back to NSC from CSC before spet 1 st, he or she should expect their FP notice soon.
Obviously, we are not going get our notices if there several people lined up with NSC notice dates before our transfer dates.
This is just my logical conclusion, may be incorrect

The dream act is an awesome legislation, my dad was one who sent his application for I-485 and it was received on the 2nd of july. However, due to the July visa fiasco he is stuck like the rest of you guys. My point is rather that I aged out in June 2007 and could not be added with my family, for the month of July. I would receive benefits because this would put me out of status as well...also children of illegals are still children. They are not illegal because they did not choose the right to come here but came without any knowledge. So Please everyone take your time to call your respective senators and email them. You can find the names and numbers of your respective senators on the link below...

Highly suspicious. I would call ICE and confirm. Also, I would ask this "officer" to visit at the workplace in presence of your lawyer. No one has any business visiting your residence for enforcement of a work-related visa. Be careful; consult with your attorney before entertaining any such request.

I agree that "It is an irony that most people here who raised valid concerns have "red" reputation". I don't know how it works. I know it doesn't matter but I just added +ve reputaton for ck_b2001 and Lisap.
Anyways, I think the moderators should not forget that this is an open forum also. And it has become popular because of people like us. As of now I am using this site as a forum where I get some info/experience from people like me regardng GC. Its an important thing (to get GC) and a painful process. May be thats why this site/forum has got so many serious members, spending time and sharing their so much personal information.
But to me (its just me), GC is important but not a life/death thing and there are lot of other things which are more important to me other than getting GC. Frankly speaking, I will spend time and money in those other things at this time. May be sometime later when I will be more comfotable and have more exp. with persons here, I might participate actively here too. And I believe lot of others might have similar thoughts.
My point here is that:
1. This is an open forum (like immigrationportal etc.) to discuss/share views/exp about GC process. So let it be like that only. If its not, then I will ask moderators to "please close this open forum".

You dont need to knock anyones door - I'll proactively go to anyone who used a "Labor Subs" and call them a Cheat because they have cheated someone else's Property and Dream.
Its gone but i'm personally a victim of that - My 1st Labor was traded in the Market for certain US dollars... The legislation was not there - otherwise i did have sufficient Proof and resources to take care of that cheat company.

FYI: The number of name check related lawsuits increased 10 times from January 2006 to January 2007 :) I estimate the total number for this year will be 3-4 times bigger than 2006 number.

Not only that, USCIS or any other govt. agency can make rules and make them effective retroactively. In other words, they can come up with a final rule in July 2008 and can say that this rule is effective July 2005.
That is why, I call GC a game where if your opponent feels that he is losing, he can change the rule of the game on the fly.
It looks like USCIS can make any new laws or change rules of game anytime. They live by their will.

guys cool down it took them till end of May about 2 months to issue all receipt notices for H1 filed on Apr 2 this year. With the whole yes-no-yes situation this month they are definitely backlogged. Lets just wait till we actually get the receipts .

I would like to know How to file a complaint about labor fraud? I just found out that my employer didn't file 485 for me and instead he used the labor for someone else. Is there anyway I can file a complaint? I have no other option except to wait until the dates are current again. I paid all the expenses for labor, 140 and 485.
I don't think I can truly understand how frustrated and angry you must be and I really hope there is a legal avenue by which you could atleast get some kind of monetary reward. I hope you could take this employer through the DOL fraud dept and cause him to really pay for this.
One of the side benefits of the end of labor substitutions is that unscrupulous employers like your desi employer will not be able to sell a labor to the highest bidder or give it away to a new hire as a 'sign on' bonus. Either the original candidate gets it or goes to waste. Though it seems a little tough, it more than makes up by preventing such stories as yours in the future. Good luck
