I believe Mbhai did a dis-service by negating good advice. What is the guarantee that the 2nd women that this guy marries will not ask for divorce? The best thing he can do is find a way to reconcile, unless there is marital infidility.

I do have copy of labor approval but I donot have copy of job description that they filed for labor. I also have copy of 140 approval.
I don't think I can get letters from HR (there are couple of people who handles everything from getting timesheets to posting payslips) as they very loyal to my employer.
Then I guess my only options are
- give it a try to file through another attorney with paystubs and without employer letter.
- forget about $5000 and proceed.

I have opened an SR as my case is out side the normal processing time. I have infopass appointment on Aug 27, 2008.
I will post my experience once I am done with my infopass or if I hear anything from NSC.

Here is another part of story.
My PD was current back in 2004, this attorney/employer ignored my calls/emails from Oct to Dec 15. They filed my 485 during christmas week end, they screwed up something and USCIS rejected my application (thats what they say). Thanks to retrogession from Jan 2005. All my documents were ready by Oct. I would have had my EAD since 2005.
De javu, again I am being mandated to file thru same attorney. I don't have problem paying more money for a good attorney and good service.
I don't know if I am in a trap or something.

All,
Another thought: the flyer we have now was a good start, and at the time when we started we didn't have other material in place.
But esp in places which have a real bulletin board where information will stay on for a while, I think we should give out a little more information on who we are, what the problems is and what we are asking for.
So at a place like ICC, maybe we should pin a copy of our brochure, and another sheet formatted like the brochure in which we give instructions on how to donate money.
The brochure format and content also looks professional, more credible than a flyer that resembles flyers for rentals, car sales etc etc.

You can make whatever you like of the current situtation, but let me tell you something.
There is a HUGE difference between being TOLERATED and BEING LIKED.
I am sure you have the intelligence to see the difference.
You can "tolerate" someone you don't like, but you can not "welcome" someone whom you don't like. I for one, donlt want to be in the "tolerated" category.
And may I ask, what exactly is your definition of hostility? Being chased down the street by a bunch of thugs, who think you should be in their country, or the kind of passive hostility being practised as of now?
You are free to go back to your home land if you feel like you are not welcomed here.

this is absurd, why would wire transferring money have immigration officer visit the candidate, if they dont want to give us GCs then most people will continue to transfer money.
I was just curious to know and the reason why I asked was, if you read all the posts on this thread, one person (sheela) had a similar 'house visit' by an ICE agent...who was asking questions mostly on wire transfers...so, was trying to see if there was any similarity in both the cases?

So you only want results without any effort from you, you have not answered how you have helped us, did you attend the rally, or sponsor money. I took the opportunity and travelled and participate in the rally for a common cause. Look at your self and ask your self these questions, and see how you can change and help IV by contributing.

We have been living in a county which has implemented 287g for some time. And I believe all legal residents in my county feel safer because of its implementation. Sure, there is a chance that 287g can be misused by the police. But tell me one law which can not be misused by police.
The thing is that more counties are signing on to 287g. St. Mary's County Joins Controversial Federal Immigration Initiative - Southern Maryland Headline News (http://somd.com/news/headlines/2010/11667.shtml).
I went thru the proposal in Arizona and could not find even one point which might be bad for us. Did any of you find something? I agree that labor belongs to the company, but I paid all the fee for the same. They can always use that, but they are not supposed to screw up me In this case, they didn't talk to me and told me that my 485 was applied, which turned out to be a lie.
