If that iPhone is true, then it would be the ugliest product released by Apple in a long time. What's next...a Pippin 2 Perhaps..

[According to the report, "Abbey Road" was the best-selling album in the United States, while "Here Comes The Sun" topped the song charts.
It should be interesting to note that when the general public thinks of The Beatles, they think of Lennon/McCartney songs. "Here Comes the Sun" which appears to be the best selling Beatles song on iTunes, was written by George Harrison.

Hackers rank up there with drug dealers as the scum of the earth. Pathetic, cocky wastes of human life. And no - there's no way you can convince me otherwise and I know I'm not in the minority on this one.
Side Note: Of course I'm talking about the ones who release their stuff into the wild and don't just notify the software company about the problem and keep it to themselves (those are good people and should be commended - it's the other ones that are a waste of flesh)
I agree....but wouldn't it be better to say, malicious hackers? I think that most hackers are good people and just like to tinker with things. Of course there's always going to be some bad apples.

Store still down? Annoying or what?Yes very annoying! I'm trying to figure out the specs/prices for these. Btw, does anybody think the Apple would allow me to swap the MBs at Admore rather than going back to Christiana Mall in Delaware?

I love the Hecho en China threads!
Every time, posters come out to support China and insult the US. They all use the same talking points:
US workers are lazy
Unions are evil
Regulations against pollution, etc are burdensome
An iPhone would cost $1000 or even more!
Taxes on rich people/corporations are too high.
Hmmm.....sponsored by our right wing, or by Foxcon?
You do understand that the right wing backbone is low income factory worker types in the so-called red states, right?

Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates these restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flash Player for the iPhone or iPod Touch.
People don't care about Flash Player itself, they just want the ability to play video in the browser, which the iPhone is perfectly capable of doing. So instead of lobbying Apple for Flash support we should be lobbying web developers for video tag support.

Sounds like the source pulled their 'info' from where the sun don't shine, and I'm not even remotely interested even if its true.

i am sure that there will be NO new iphone 5 at the conference. but apple needs to show something new there, so as a "one more thing" they will introduce the new white iphone 4, and also another new model with 64 GB. There is a lot of work going on that could see the light of day by or at the WWDC such as new MobileMe especially considering Amazon's announcement today re streaming media. Throw in maybe something to do with Apple TV or a preview of new iPhone 5 capabilities such as NFC and it would be a pretty amazing meeting. An announcement of integrated iOS and OSX could be a blockbuster by itself if that comes to be.

Is anyone else having the issue with the double vibrate when you get a text?? I had this issue with 4.3 and I have heard no complaining about it. Everyone I know who has 4.3 has the double vibrate so it's not just my phone, but I haven't heard anyone else say anything. It's pretty annoying. Anyway, I was just wondering if this fixed that issue or not.
It's not a bug. It's supposed to do that so when the phone is in your pocket you can tell you got a text when it's on vibrate, so you won't think it's an email or notification.

So how do you work this Album Artist tag?
What I would expect is to put the artists (separated by comas or something) in that tag, and then that song will show up under all those listed artists.
The way it is now doesn't make any difference in organization/categorization of the archive.
How do you guys use it?It works for soundtracks or compilations, It is used to organize the albums better. Its very handy.

All Mac OS packages sold on their own are upgrade kits.
Under the EULA you can only run Mac OS's on Mac Hardware and all Mac computers come with the OS. So what you are buying is an upgrade.
Under the EULA you cannot buy and install a Mac OS for a computer that didn't already come with the Mac OS.
ALL Mac OS's sold on their own are upgrades.
In other words, you can only run OS X on a Mac, because all Macs ship with it.
But you can buy OS X 10.4 and install it on any Mac sold in the last 5 years. You don't need 10.1, 10.2 or 10.3 installed in order to install 10.4, and I imagine 10.5 will be the same.

I wonder what MS is doing in Vista to prevent piracy? At that price I'm sure a lot of people will be tempted to pirate it.
The same thing they've been doing for years --- suing anyone they can catch

I have 3 USB 1 ports and 2 FireWire ports. Does that mean if I buy a new 8Gb Nano, it won't work with my system? :(
No it just means it will transfer at USB 1 speeds instead of its new full capacity

I just downloaded the update, it told me something failed and I need to restore my iPhone. I am on try 3 and it is still failing every time it tries to restore. It's giving me error code 1013. I would stay away from this update for at least a day or two until others give feedback. It doesn't seem to be that critical of an update anyways.

You killed your mother because your friends laughed at you   :p
B
NO, She died of natural causes BUT (TRUE STORY) on August 29th, 1966 a friend showed up at my house at 6PM with two tickets to see the Beatles at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. My mother said I could not go becuase I had a drum lesson at 7PM and unless it was cancelled a day in advance, we'd have to pay. So I missed what became the last official concert the Beatles ever played.
I no longer play the drums  AND my mother is dead. :(
see not everyone here is 23...

My guess is that the recall won't expire. Apple can't deny someone a new battery because they 'didn't know' they had a bad battery and found out a year or so later. The previous recall from (someone said) 2005 is still valid. I'm sure in a year or so you'll want a new battery.
My battery falls within the parameters but my battery is fine. Full charge and does not get hot at all. As soon as I notice something I'll file for a new battery. Until then, I'll continue using my battery as normal.
Dang! you're right...i knew i shoulda waited........then again its better to be safe than sorry. Im sure the exploding batteries were fine as well initially. if i run out of juice i'll just get a new one.
Will this recall ever expire?
The reason im asking is that my 3k550 A1079 12" PB battery only has been through 18 battery loadcycles and still has 100% capacity according to cocounut battery...
Im wondering If I should get it replaced right now or wait untill my current battery starts running out of juice? What would you guys do?
edit: My pb warps every once in a while, could a new battery fix the problem?
Just because its fine now doesn't mean it'll stay that way. Im sure the exploding ones were fine as well....initially. Better to be safe than sorry.

Pardon me for not reading all six pages, but can anyone describe (generally) the 47 different versions of Windows upcoming?
Will Basic only play minesweeper? What does it *not* do that Ultimate-Double-Secret-Robot-Super-Monkey-Force-Go! edition does?

As a MBP owner who bought a rev1 model right when they came out -- and has been sending it in to fix its many, many problems constantly, and is now seeing it lag behind the iMacs in speed and power -- I feel like I bought a lemon. Thanks, Apple, for pissing in my face.

"However, this does not mean these other applications are dead - simply that Apple is not talking about them... yet."
So maybe this explains the low price point. $299 for Final Cut Pro X and $999 for the full suite? I hope not. All looks amazing though!
