Can some one from IV come up with template letter that we can personized and send to our Univ. President. Even we can get support from International Student who are currenly in school.
It will be more effective if we write letter to In charge person of International Student Department in University.

This is a pretty serious issue and needs to be looked at carefully - it could mean a significant difference to wait times for Indians and Chinese in EB2 category.

visa stamp is what ppl presume..is indicative of status..we all know that it is not.
I 94..to some extent unless you changed status to H1 from F1 and did not go for H1 stamping..then you have to show the I 797 approval form..now..where will this madness stop
now how can a cop understand and verify all of this crap..and anyway..they give out licenses to only legal residents.

Hi JunRN. After reading your post I googled if labor certification does have an expiration. According to: http://www.hooyou.com/lc/faq.html , it doesn't. Did you have to re-apply for yours? Thanks!

All officials and news coverage has talked about processing 60k visas in a month to avoid visas going waste. None clarifed to say the unused visas expire on 09/30 NOT 06/30.

Also, I would check with my friends about their support.
Would it be a good idea to mention the costs/efforts involved in this visa stamping tours.
Especially, all dependents including infants/kids need to go either to canada or India forcing to loose 3-4 days of vacation.
Neither of party's ( US gov nor Visa aspirants) are gaining any benefit.

I have suffered a lot due to this stamping business and I have a thread on IV "STUCK IN MONTREAL" I was there for almost 2 months with 2 of my sons and wife. My oldest one lost his full smester of college, 2nd one was only in 4th grade and got lucky due to his excellent record in school and hence was promoted, due to this stamping business and I was poorer by 30K. I will do whatever needs to be done to get this bill rolling and am ready to share my story with any one..
This was my 3rd stamping with the same employer and 2nd one was also in Toronto in 2005 at that time I had no problems and this time my salary was almost 30% more tan the last one in 2005.

with all due appreciation to the work done by IV, this suggesstion is not thought out.
You just cannot run away from your past. For example your existing applications to USCIS will have your india/ passport nos. There are many ways they can trace you.
So growing a moustache etc, or dressing like a mexican will not help.

if she can get the tests done in India, there are USCIS approved doctors in Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi and Calcutta.
My spouse is landing here on Aug 15. That leaves only one day to get medicals done. Any suggestions on how to handle this ? Can she skip skin test and take X-rays directly ?

The same memo also talks about AC21 - to me, it sounds like those who qualify under AC21 can also get 7th year extension even though they are currently not on H1-B status. Could someone please clarify if I can now "recapture" my now-long-gone-H1B based on this memo and the following information?
- I had a H1B visa, whose 6 year period was going to expire in Dec 2005.
- In Oct 2005, I changed to a different employer using AC21 & EAD. So the H1B became void at that time.
Now, under the clarification by this memo, can I apply for the 7th year extension of my old H1B and switch back to that (rather than using EAD to work in US)?
- I had a H1B visa, whose 6 year period was going to expire in Dec 2005.

Very glad to see that these people have been caught by the law enforcement agents. These are the people who care candidates for EB1 category for greencards. As most of these join the fake IT bodyshops and show multinational executive experience on their resume. This is not the only university where you see people from Andhra Pradesh misusing law, there are many universities in the same business. I hope to see more enforement like this. I wish the USCIS and other related agencies crack down on the misuse of credential in the greencard process. Most of the IT people with fake experience and reporting structure should be punished for violating law and legitimate people with US education should get their right place in the waiting list.
My wife is on H4 visa and looking for opportunities. She gets calls from all these consultant who ask her to get on to F1 visa at some community college and then use CPT/OPT for working on their projects.....when i came to this country to study at a top ranked university, i thought F1 visa is for higher education...now it is used in community colleges. New learning everyday!!
