they had the nerve to sue apple over and over, jobs named apple apple as a tribute... and they were supposed to be about peace and love... and you are defenfending them... they are greedy bastards and they reaped what they sow
Suing doesn't automatically make you greedy or unpeaceful or unloving. They're protecting their property which I wouldn't fault anyone for doing (if that's all it really is.)
For the ad, I'm thinking:
"Hi, I'm a PC."
"And I'm a Mac." in a beatle wig
(crowd of screaming 12 year-old girls run in and mow down the Mac guy)

Worked fine for XP.
Well, it happened for XP. Whether people were happy being stuck with it for that long is a whole other debate.

Very creative. Nice color too.
Nothing nearly as amazing as some of the pictures in the thread, but it's what I have. First attempt at HDR.

Well spotted! Very good attempt! I really liked it.

My debate begins - but to be decided by this time next week (all prices edu)
New iMac 24" 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo
2GB RAM
500GB HDD
GeForce 7600 256MB
Wireless Keyboard & BT MM
Applecare
$2,748
Mac Mini 1.83 Core Duo
2GB RAM
Wireless Keyboard & BT MM
23" Apple Cinema HD Display
Applecare
$2,101
Add $149 to both orders for Final Cut Express HD.
I really like the look of the ACD. The white iMac is not as sexy.
I understand the ACD has no iSight and the Mini has integrated graphics and you can see I am getting FCE HD. I would also be spending another $299 on an IDE (not SATA) 500GB MiniStack which brings the price up to $2,400.
The Mini gives me the ability to upgrade in 18-30 months and turn it into a multimedia server at my tv, but by buying the ACD, I'm either looking at another Mini, a yet-to-be-released mid-tower, or a MacPro.
Anyone notice the 23" ACD and 24" iMac both have 1920x1200. Isn't that odd?
Any suggestions.

Crap, I'd like a Mac in that price range without a screen, not with a bigger one!
But for those without a large screen at home definitely a sweet deal.

It matters, because it proves "pirates" are not a big problem for Adobe.

Because getting your iToy within eye sight of a 300 Lb round-belly hillbilly or 400 Lb woman in pink stretch pants and camel toe does not make for the best experience.
Uh, news flash, they still let those people in Apple Stores, too. Last I checked, this WAS America.

Maybe they'll announced that they've finally got AirDisk working with the Airport Extreme n, and will apologise for their complete incompetence and track record with this product so far.
If we're REALLY lucky we might even be able to use AirDisk with Time Machine.
Or maybe it will be the smell of ******** when Steve gives some other product the false hype that the Airport Extreme got...

The US is enforcing a no-fly zone over The Republic of Congo? Or were you just dodging the question?
The last time I checked the people of the Congo hadn't asked for US help. Or were you just attempting to confuse the issue?

Lol... 8 mp is a bad idea in a lens that size... even more people fall to the marketing ploys.
As long as its the same quality as the 5mp iphone 4... it will be fine but otherwise i am disappointed in apple.

What's fairly obvious is that if ordinary people were in a position to make decisions concerning their community/country/state they would make a far better job than the "expert" economists, legislators, businesspeople and so on who do very well by making a complete balls up of the lives of people in individual countries.
(-885 billion and 112.5% of SS deficit solved)
I think the professionals are better educated to make those decisions than we are. It's just one of those things that's easier said than done.
For me, among other things I'd raise taxes on the rich, cut military by killing expensive but marginal projects like experimental weaponry, temporarily lower funding for technological research related projects for NASA and Green tech. Just from that, I'd have the wealthy, Republicans, the military-industrial complex, scientists, and environmentalists all trying to gut my budget proposal. The political realities outweigh the fact it looks simple on paper.

Don't know if this deserves its own thread but Appleinsider has some juicy bits in its latest rumors. The upshot is that the new movie service will be high enough quality to be viewed in the living room (which I assume to be at least DVD quality). Be warned: most of it smacks of fanboy speculation.
For some time now, published reports have insinuated that Apple and Jobs would be unwilling to launch a movie download service without a wide, touch-screen video iPod player to coincide. But as he reclines with his feet perched on the sprawling Apple boardroom conference table, Jobs is likely enjoying a chuckle or two -- he's been planning something bigger, something better, something everyone will want.
Just as he asserted that consumers are more eager to own their music tracks for 99 cents a piece rather than rent them on a monthly basis, he realizes that few are willing to plunk down ten bucks for a two-hour movie that they'll have to watch with their neck cranked towards a miniature screen resting in the palm of their hand. As someone at the forefront of the motion picture industry, he knows films are designed for the big screen and later adapted for the home living-room theater.
For these reasons, Jobs many months ago commissioned an elite group of Apple engineers to get the ball rolling on an intuitive hardware solution that would more closely tie the company's digital media strategy to the living-room. And so AppleInsider has been told, Apple has been quietly developing a video streaming device that will interface with an updated version of its iTunes jukebox software.
It's arguably been one of the most closely guarded secrets at Apple since the evolution of the first iPod digital music player, which forever altered the landscape of the music industry when it was introduced in October of 2001. Only a select bunch inside Cupertino have heard of the latest device and even fewer have seen it. Therefore, further details are few and far between.
Insiders can only presume the device will take up the form of a video-enabled version of Apple's existing AirPort Express wireless base station, which lets users stream their iTunes music tracks from their computers to their home stereo receivers. It also acts as a wireless 802.11 router and printing hub.

Am I the only one who likes the needler?
The regular old Needler is fine, and there are plenty of them laying around, so replenishing ammo is fine. I just prefer the headshot-capable weapons myself. I LOVE the new Needle Rifle. It is better than the DMR, in my opinion. One of my buddies though, loves the regular Needler, like you do. He doesn't care how well or not it kills enemies, he just has a riot using it. Which is all that matters.
